Ab Workout Equipment, Guaranteed Awesome Abs?
Here’s the truth: No matter what you’re willing to spend on your ab workout equipment, it’s down to you to make it work.
Sure, the right piece of equipment can make the whole process much easier, you’ll see faster, better results, and if you stick with it, you can guarantee getting a lean body, but…
The key word in there is “You”.
There are so many self help books that will tell you all about having a positive attitude, how to meditate, they talk about cosmic wishing and so on and so forth, but what it comes down to is one basic truth of life: If you want something, work for it. Whether it’s money, a new girlfriend/boyfriend, a better job, or a great body, you won’t get it until you put the work in. Life doesn’t just give you what you want, but it’s at least fair enough that, if you put the work in, chances are you’ll get what you’re after.
If you’re ready to do it, and if you’re ready to really put the work in, not just by the equipment and expect it to work out three times a week so you don’t have to, then don’t hesitate. Just know that it’s all you. If you don’t get the abs you’re after, don’t blame the equipment. But if you do, feel free to pat yourself on the back. Don’t give the equipment all the credit, either. It’s all you.
That said, here’s how to make this equipment work…
Watch What You Eat
We’re not saying “Eat nothing but salads”, but do watch what you eat. You don’t have to give up all your guilty pleasures, you’re not trying to run the Olympics, here, but do cut back on the sweets and fats, stay away from corn syrup, you know the drill. Just eat healthy and get all your vitamins, and drink more water.
Skip a Day
Work out every OTHER day. The reason you get those sore abs after the first three days is usually because you either didn’t stretch well enough, or you didn’t skip a day. You need to give your abs a day to recover after a tough workout. If you want to stay in the habit, work on your arms or legs the next day, but don’t work the same muscle group two days in a row.
Push It
Squeeze a few more crunches in with every workout. At first, you may start with fifty and go up to sixty, but before long, you’ll be doubling the reps each time. After a few months, you’ll be doing hundreds of crunches a day like it ain’t no thing. At this point, your abs should be so hard, they’ll be using them to cut diamonds.
Keep At It
Getting great abs is step one. Step two is keeping them, and that takes commitment. The hardest physical work is over, but you need dedication. Fortunately, at this point, it’ll just feel like a part of your daily routine, like putting on your socks or shaving. But keep at it, or you’ll lose what you worked for. Ab workout equipment can help, but it’s up to you to provide the Eye of the Tiger to keep going.
